Here is a secret about Los Angeles that angelenos forget to tell people not from here (especially those who pay good money to ride around in a van looking for a star or two): celebrities don’t walk around everywhere just waiting to be seen.

Paparazzi have to follow leads and wait around a lot, giving shows like TMZ a seeming effortless “So and so at LAX” spot on their show. Still, to say that those living The Life Elite don’t flock to the city of angels would be a downright lie!

Here are three restaurants people have been known to see someone fab. Warning: Your tab will be on the hefty side.

Chateau Marmont

The restaurant attached to this famous hotel is a favorite among celebrities and locals alike. You’ll want to be on your best behavior, as people don’t take too kindly to having their meals disrupted (and neither will the staff!). This place has a strict no photography policy. But if you want a taste of the Hollywood life and quiet glances at someone famous, here is the place. Everybody from Scarlett Johansson to Lady Gaga to Bradley Cooper has been seen here.

E. Baldi

E. Baldi is one of those strange spots that people either fiercely love or can’t stand. But those who love it, REALLY love it. It is one of Mark Walberg’s favorite spots and features a host of glam regularly. This week, billionaire James Stunt was seen with his wife Petra Stunt and sister-in-law Tamara Ecclestone for a nice lunch.

Polo Lounge

It isn’t so much the eatery itself as it is the hotel its housed in that draws the elite. The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows has been a temporary home to names ranging from Liz Taylor to Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman and Harry Styles.
