Richest Heiress in America
Emma Bloomberg an Heiress with Work Ethic
With a net worth of $18 billion, Emma Bloomberg, the daughter of former mayor New York City Michael Bloomberg, is currently number one on the list of the richest heiress in America.
But Emma’s story isn’t really that of the typical rich heiress (we won’t name names). At the young age of 22, Ms Bloomberg put her studies on a back burner and deferred her graduation from Princeton University to help her father campaign for mayor in 2002. Following his win, she took an entry-level internship as Mayoral Program Coordinator, working her way up through the ranks while also gaining her MBA and MPA from Harvard.
Now the Senior Planning Officer for New York City’s Robin Hood Foundation, an anti-poverty foundation, she also serves as a contributing board member to the Young Lions of New York Public Library and the Stand for Children organization.
She looks comfortably set to follow her father who owes his $31 billion fortune to an 88% stake in Bloomberg LP, the financial firm he founded in 1982. As the seventh-richest person in the U.S, it’s unsurprising that he has sired not just one of the richest heirs in America, but the leading heiress.
