Top Five Highest-Paid Comedians 2015
Being a member of the elite is no laughing matter, unless of course you’re one of the comedians on the Forbes highest-paid comedians of 2015 list! The top ten highest-paid comedians earned a total $166.5 million this past year.
The leader of the pack is Jerry Seinfeld with $36 million. No surprise there, of course, as Seinfeld has always earned a sizable paycheck in royalties from the beloved sitcom Seinfeld. Lately though, he spends his time entertaining fans without all the dollar bill signs on his web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (which is about exactly what it sounds like). Here is the rest of the top five.
2) Kevin Hart
Unsurprisingly, Hart earned $28.5 million. The comedy “it” guy had a great year. He not only packs arenas on his comedy tours; he starred in multiplied films.
3) Terry Fator
He hardly has the name pull of Seinfeld and Hart, but Fator made out okay with his residency at the Mirage in Las Vegas. He earned $21.5 million.
4) Jeff Dunham
Seriously, something must be in the air in Vegas. Dunham took a page out of Fator’s book with a residency at Planet Hollywood. It earned him $19 million.
5) Russel Peters
Peters was a judge on the NBC show Last Comic Standing. His salary earned him a tie with Jeff Dunham, putting him at number five with $19 million.
